Is this true (Cheating Issue)?

You know the old saying "Once a cheater, always a cheater." I think i might have cheating issues. (OK i confess i do have cheating issues). Its just that I want to be in a relationship and every time I am in another relationship I tend to flirt with other girls, and i feel bad. But my ex always told me " In order for someone to stop cheating, something major has to happen to them." My Ex was a cheater and wat made her stop was that she got preg and she had a baby and somone wanted to take care of it. So that changed her life. My question is is it tru that in order to stop cheating something major has to happen ??
