Electronic help with LED (LCD?) display?

This is a Sunbeam Breadmaker and the display works but is not illuminated. Expecting to find a lamp or LED backlight, instead I found a gl-like display with 6 terminals per side for 12 total. Apparently the illumination is internal. I want to test it to determine if it is defective or if it is incorrectly supplied. Who knows the basics on these displays? Breadmaker was otherwise in impeccable condition.

Don't waste your money. Any gambling devices you take into a casino are either going to be illegal or they will get you thrown out. The casinos are very fussy about people using gambling aids and they will not hesitate to give you the boot. Card counting works fairly well when you are playing with a single deck but when the house uses multiple decks it becomes exceedingly difficult to remember all of the cards that have been played. You will have a lot more fun if you just think of gambling as entertainment, set a limit on how much you are willing to lose and stop playing when you reach your limit.

Parents, how much housework do you expect your teenager to do?

My dad has complained that I do too little housework and has stopped my �10 a month allowance for it. However, I asked my friends what housework they do and they barely do anything and still receive money! I have to go to college and I leave for seven and come home at 5:30pm. I would be sure that I would put some clothes in the washing machine prior to leaving the house, when I arrive home I would hang the washing outside to dry, I would fill up the dishwasher, hoover/vacuum the living room or the hall and be sure that the living room is clear of my items. Ok i got into an accident last week. Long story short, i dropped someone off by a school and was waiting for a car to p me and he rammed into my door. In all fairness i do believe that this is his fault, my only fault is that the front of my car was sticking out. The police officer wrote down that i said that i was pulling out as the car struck me, which i didn't. Now, this makes it sound that i was being careless while pulling out making it mostly my fault. If you really want a supplement to help you train I would use 5 hour energy when biking. I also suggest training in high altitudes with less oxygen so your body gets used to not having to use as much oxygen to work and so when you race on lower altitudes, the amount of oxygen in the air will seem like an abundance compared to where you trained. Also, long distance does wonders for endurance.

Are doctors retarded or is my sickness all in my head?

Ok. I have to lay out a little history here for you to understand. I started getting realIly sick when I was pregnant with my youngest son. My back was always hurting really bad and I felt that something was wrong, but the doctors told me I was fine. I kept going into preterm labor and they had to keep me on meds to stop it. I finally had him a month early but he was ok. I was not however. I was put on so many medicines over the next year and then called all kinds of things including medicine seeker, faker, hypochondriac etc. I was very upset because I knew something was wrong. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and it never went all the way away. My sugar is high every other time I get a blood test, but the docs seem to think that's ok. My heart also started beating too fast. I was finally put on a heart and a diabetes medication. My heart slowed down and my diabetes eased up. (My sugar is still high on every third or fourth blood test). My heart rate stayed at 145bpm and docs said that was ok. Then my heart rate jumped to 265bpm one day and they had to do a cardioversion. It sucked, but my heart rate went down to 135 and stayed there. Then all hell broke loose. I started having terrible pain all over. My stomach and back hurt really bad and I started throwing up all the time. The docs kept me in the hospital a few times, then let me go home. (Mind you at this time I had my appendix out already). I kept going back with terrible pains and throwing up. They gave me meds to stop the nausea and sent me home with pain meds. I didn't get better. Then they found that I had a very large ovary from a cyst gone crazy, so they drained it. Pardon this, but I also developed a heavy menstrual flow that did not stop. They found that my uterus was HUGE and took it out along with the cervix since there were early stage cancer cells. Then my left ovary started acting up and developing cysts, so they took THAT out. I started to grow scar tissue that messed up my insides and made bowel obstructions, so they fixed that and wrapped it all up in mesh to stop that problem. This was all within a few short months. I was EXHAUSTED!! The sickness and pain did not stop, so they went through months of putting me on psychiatric meds including valium. I started having NEW symptoms. I started having numbness and tingling in my left arm at first, then it moved to my right side and I even got sent to the ICU one day when my whole body went numb and I fell to the floor in a heap. My right eye went dark for a few hours and it took two days to get all the feeling back. They did millions of tests and they all came back ok. They sent me home. They finally put me on a heart med cause of the tachycardia and that helped take away the numbness problems. Next, I started getting really dizzy and started throwing up in spite of the nausea meds. I was still in alot of pain all the time and I was so tired. I really reached a low point and wanted to just die and get it over with. I got called all the names again since all the tests were coming up ok according to the docs. Then I developed a pericardial effusion (that's fluid in the sac surrounding the heart). They did alot more blood tests and sent me to all the specialists you can imagine including rheumatology. Nothing. They did a pericardial tap and took out the fluid. The tests came back with no answers. I was quite frustrated. I knew I was really really sick, but nothing was telling me anything. I live in a small town and the nurses at the hospital were getting mean with me and starting rumors about how I was just wanting drugs. It sucked. Then I got (pardon me for real) unending diarrhea. They did a nuclear scan and found that my gallbladder was not functioning AT ALL!! So, another surgery and it was out. Then two weeks later I broke my three ribs on that same side as the surgery. (boy did THAT suck!) Then because of the dizziness, I ped out in my bathroom, fell into the tub and broke my tailbone. Yes, by this time I was still having dizziness, nausea, vomiting, pain, diarrhea,and insomnia. BAD BAD BAD. I have lived that way for MONTHS now. Out of the blue a few months ago, I had a grand mal seizure. (tonic clonic). Again, more meds and more tests..... all normal. (When symptoms stopped bothering me or went away, I stopped meds that could interact on my own cause I HATE taking meds. When I told the docs, they said that was ok. ) AND.... finally..... I know, it's alot..... three weeks ago, I got confused and forgot who I was etc. and spent a day at the hospital I don't remember. I found out later after I was home. I still have no idea what happened to me. I was told by family. I called the doc and he told me that I had a lupus test that came back positive. I told MY doc and they just said, well, let's do nothing since it is not causing problems. Can you imagine my dumbfounded look on my face? yeah. Should it be illegal to smoke in a vehicle with children present?

I believe that it should absolutely be illegal. If it's illegal (in my state, of MA) to smoke in a restaurant for the health and comfort of other patrons then why in gods name would it be MORE acceptable to smoke in a car with small children? I also grew up in a home with two smoking parents. Though they tried to be more conscious of not smoking around me, it happened of course. I used to throw away my moms cigarettes when I was as young as 6 or 7 years old. I hated it! I would fake cough as loud as I could and simply beg them not to smoke because of how it aggravated me. Since moving out of their house several years ago, whenever I go back, the smell of the smoke is overwhelming and I can only imagine what damage they had inadvertently done to my lungs. In one way, they only made me a healthier because to this day I wouldn't dare put a cigarette to my mouth, however I don't think any child should be subject to such abuse. I know it's a habit, and parents don't intend to harm their children but that's exactly what they're doing.

RV refrigerator only works on LP gas, not electric?

The refrigerator in my pop up camper is designed to work on 110, propane and 12v. The last time I tried to plug it in and turn it on, it didn't work. My friend is a habitual liar and I am tired of dealing with it, but we live together. At first, when he began to talk I would listen and just nod. I would take cps 113 because it seems that this cl teaches you basic cl structure, data types, and program structure. Both Java and VB stem from the understanding of cps113's concepts. And also to be easier to program in C you would to understand basic structures of all programs. If you don't prefer that then cps 121 would be my next choice because it's similar to C, it's just more slated towards GUI's than C is but syntax is the same. VB is a simple language because it's drag and drop components onto a field to created a form then program what each on/lable/box does in the BASIC programming language which is .. well... err... very basic lol

Preventing a chemical pregnancy...please help, i'm so worried!!!!?

i am on my fourth round of clomid. now last month i either ovulated twice or ovulated very late in my cycle. i ovulated on day 26 and implanted on day 33 (i know this because i had bleeding). i ended up having a chemical pregnancy five days after implantation. i believe it may be because i implanted to close to my expected period. i have been having 35-40 day cycles. my doctor did another 21 day progesterone test this month but i can't get in to see him until Sept 21st. I think i may have implanted again this month on day 33 (last night) because i had very bad cramping which went away by this morning. i guess my question is, do i have a high chance of a chemical pregnancy again this late in my cycle??? if so, is there any vitamins or natural treatments i can take to try and better my chances? i have endometriosis too if that helps....please offer any suggestions you may have. i have to wait to take a test since i only got a very very faint BFP last month four days after my implantation.

I put it in the crock pot and put seasonings, potatoes and bacon in there and cooked it on high for 4 hours. It was as hard as a rock, I have made it in an oven and has turned out well.. Most meats I cook in a crock pot turn out so tender that you can flake it with a fork. Anyone have an idea what went wrong? I am just learning to cook with deer meat. I have made some things with it already and they have always turned out well.

I guess it was a quick way to get that subplot into the movie. I personally think that's one thing that could have just been left out to save time, since it wasn't important for the plot.
