Crown or Veneers?? Lumineers or Da Vinci??

I have an two old crown in front that need to be replaced and another that had root c. What are my best options to get them looking natural?? I heard you can use Lumineers over crowns. Is it true that a tooth that had root c must be crowned?? Any dentist out there, please help!!
